Aalam Deepam Duathlon - 2025 Edition

The sixth edition of the Aalam Deepam Duathlon will happen as an in-person event (virtual participation type is also available) and all the proceeds will go towards the construction of an Education Centre in Tiruvallur district. The enhanced educational center would support the tribal students at J J Nagar, Palavakkam, Uthukottai Taluk, Tiruvallur District.

Event Categories - Individual/Team

Olympic (10 km running and 40 km cycling)

Sprint (5 km running and 20 km cycling)

The event participation can be in person/virtual.

One can participate in individual or team relay categories. Team relay can involve men/women/mixed in which one person runs and the other person cycles to finish the distance. Register, Run and Ride to support the cause. We request you to extend your philanthropic support. The accounts from the event would be published transparently and all participants would get regular updates about the usage of funds for the cause.

Duathlon Date - 6th April 2025 

Duration - Both run and ride need to be completed one after another, in which Run needs to be attempted first and followed by Cycling.

DEEPAM OLYMPIC Individual

10km running and 40km cycling- INR 799 (Includes 18% GST)

DEEPAM SPRINT – Individual

(5km running and 20km cycling) - INR 799 (Includes 18% GST)

Deepam Team Relay: Doubles (Olympic & Sprint)

(Team Relay events will have two people in one team. One person runs while the other person rides and completes the distance)

10km running and 40km cycling – INR 1499 (Includes 18% GST) 

DEEPAM TEAM RELAY SPRINT

5km running and 20km cycling - INR 1499 (Includes 18% GST) 

Rental Cycles are available at an additional cost of INR 350 (includes 18% GST)

The Registration fee is non-refundable. All registered participants would get a T-Shirt and finishers would receive a beautiful finisher medal.

The event is self-timed. A helmet is mandatory for the Cycling part. Riders and runners are responsible for their own safety.

 About Previous Edition 

Our First Edition of AALAM DEEPAM DUATHLON, which was held in February 2019, not only spread health and fitness but also gave shelter for good dining and Nalabhaagam (Cooking) at Home Of Hope, Pakkam with all Your generous support. With all efforts and Blessings, the building was inaugurated on 29th Sept 2019

Second Edition of AALAM DEEPAM DUATHLON, which was held in March 2020, was held in collaboration with Sevai Karangal. We raised funds through the event and constructed an activity centre at Kundalimedu, a remote village near Gumidipoondi. With all efforts and Blessings, the building was inaugurated in 2020 end. 

Third Edition of AALAM DEEPAM DUATHLON, which was held in April 2022, was held to support the Humans of Cycling Initiative. We raised funds through the event and donated 100 bicycles to livelihood commuters across Chennai. 

Fourth Edition of AALAM DEEPAM DUATHLON, which was held in March 2023, was a virtual event held to support the Humans of Cycling Initiative. We raised funds through the event and donated 135 bicycles to the kids of Sevalaya, Pakkam and other livelihood commuters.

Fifth Edition of AALAM DEEPAM DUATHLON, which was held in March 2024, was an in-person event held to support the Humans of Cycling Initiative. We raised funds through the event and donated 124 bicycles to livelihood commuters in the villages in the outskirts of Chennai.
